A photo shoo(e)t with PINS

Last weekend I had the great pleasure of watching one of my favourite bands at the moment perform at the Village Underground. And as that is not amazing enough to fill an afternoon with, I also got the chance to have a closer look at what is going on at the south end of their own lovely eight pins.

The all girl four piece from Manchester were nice enough to take part in this rather spontaneous experiment (considering that some strange girl - who had never done this before - asked them whether she could take pictures of their shoes and have them talk about it, too), or maybe they just saw my nervousness and were just too polite to shoot me down, but this is what I got...

Taking a stroll 'round town

I have not been on Bricklane for a while but some things do not change I suppose. The offer ranges from boring to overpriced - in ladies as well as menswear - and nothing struck my fancy except for a pair of gasoline shiny snake skin textured pumps at Absolute Vintage. They were not my size. MEH.

However, I ended up at a Mr. Hare sample sale in one of the open spaces in Truman Brewery and found some polished, smart brogues and tassely colourful loafers that are mens but come in a size 5, too. Very convenient if you live with a small footed man or want to dress up your 7 year old big time for school. Pop by the little glass cubicle on Hanbury Street or visit them online, the shoes are amazing quality and you can save quite a lot at the in the sample shop compared to the normal retail price.

There were things to show and tell you from the footwear angle but since the heavy snow prevented me from taking my new 90's goth boots out for a spin, I stayed inside, drank tea and watched German telly. Nothing to see here folks, keep moving...
